Built by a practitioner, for practitioners.
MealPro exists because someone who actually performed procurement reviews at a state agency decided the manual workflow had to end.
The reviewer who built the tool she needed.
Cynthia spent years performing procurement reviews inside a state Child Nutrition division. She lived inside the Excel-based USDA review workflow, chasing documents, reconciling vendor paid lists by hand, and watching colleagues burn out on a process that nobody had ever designed for software.

Why MealPro exists
The problem is real and documented. State agency staff are buried. USDA itself has had to grant cycle-length waivers to states that can't keep up with the review cadence. The outsourced alternative costs hundreds of thousands per state, per year, and still doesn't leave the workflow inside the agency.
MealPro is the response: a tool that puts the workflow back in the hands of the people doing the work, at a fraction of the outsourced cost.
USDA-aligned. Pursuing formal recognition.
MealPro's workflow mirrors USDA's own procurement review framework. Same components, same determinations, same logic state reviewers already know. We are actively pursuing formal "approved alternate tool" recognition through the FNA regional office, not because we have to, but because state agencies asking the question deserve a real answer.
